"Community, connection, collaboration"
Born and raised in South Florida, Paige Lynn always enjoyed being part of a team working toward a common goal. In 2023, she took this mindset with her when she moved to Chicago, Illinois, to attend Loyola University Chicago and study Film and Digital Media Production. Focusing on cinematography, producing, directing, and editing, she hopes to integrate these skills with her aspirations to work in the music industry.
In April 2025, Paige Lynn and Lawson Sharrer teamed up as a director/producer pair to pitch a script for Loyola's “Collaboration Program.” After being selected by a jury to produce Jack-o’ Jungle Juice, written by Megan Bradley, they spent 7 months in pre-production, held a 3-day shoot in November 2025, and completed editing in spring 2026. The production set new school records, crowdfunding $7,000 and receiving a creative grant of $1,500, the most for any student film at Loyola. To prepare, they rented an empty two-story apartment in Logan Square for three weeks prior to filming, which production designers Anna Scheppmann and Jordan Archer-Cull fully decorated. Jack-o’ Jungle Juice premiered at the Loyola Illumination Screening in spring 2026.
Between 2024 and 2026, Paige participated in and completed 11 projects and continues to sign on to projects for the 2026–2027 school year before graduating in May 2027. In fall 2025, she worked as a contact photojournalist for Loyola Chicago’s School of Communication marketing team, where she produced journalistic photography to celebrate students and their accomplishments, as well as promotional videos.
In spring 2026, Paige Lynn and Lawson Sharrer launched a new supplemental program for Loyola's Film and Digital Media called “Rambler Workshops.” These bi-weekly, peer-led workshops encourage out-of-classroom learning in all aspects of filmmaking. Having completed a successful first semester, they plan to continue Rambler Workshops in fall 2026.
Paige’s first narrative project at Loyola, The Vampachelor, directed by Amelia Swain, was completed as a final assignment for her Intro to Video class. The 7-minute short she produced became an Official Selection at the 2024 New York Liftoff Film Festival and won an award at the Northwood Film Festival. By spring 2025, she had completed her first cinematography role on the international short film Last Date, directed by Anshika Bhardwaj, which won an award at the Sunset Boulevard Film Festival. In spring 2026, she was nominated by her faculty and received an “Excellence in Directing” award. Her most recent films—Jack-o’ Jungle Juice (director), Night Shift (producer), A Peek (cinematographer), and 312 (producer)—are all currently on the festival circuit.
In summer 2026, Paige will join the SOCAPA team in New York City as a teaching assistant and residential assistant, where for two 3-week summer sessions, she will help teach and guide high school students through their filmmaking journeys.
