Jack-o' Jungle Juice is a short film completed from April 2025 to April 2026. This year-long production began as part of Loyola's "Collaboration Program," in which three scripts are selected to be developed into larger productions, with a Director/Producer team pitching to a panel of judges. My producer, Lawson Sharrer, and I were selected to create Jack-o' Jungle Juice.
Over our seven months of pre-production, we assembled a crew of 21 students, including 4 makeup artists. We began crowdfunding in September of 2025, launching our GoFundMe with a goal of $7,000. Within 48 hours, we raised $4,000, reaching our goal as filming began, being the most money a student film successfully crowdfunded at Loyola. From the Loyola School of Communication, we received an additional full creative grant of $1500.
In November, we rented an empty two-story apartment, which our production design team set up and decorated in 20 days. On November 21-23, we completed three days of shooting with actors and extras. The film was edited and completed in the spring of 2026, and it premiered at Loyola's Annual 2026 Illumination Film Festival.
Currently on the festival circuit.
